Digital Magazine Sales on Apple iPad Decline
In fact, iPad users have not grown into big fans of the new digital magazines. Report gives you an idea about that the sales of these digital magazines are reportedly declining ever since the first digital magazine was released.
Wired was the first digital magazine to be released on apple iPad in the month of May 2010. It started off by selling above 100,000 copies in June.
Though, according to Women’s Wear Daily, the total sales of digital magazines lately went way below to 22,000. As in case of Wired, it has been observed that the sales of digital version are far less than the printed version. The printed ‘Wired’ sales in recent times went as high as 130,000 a month.
In accordance with Apple Insider, Author John Koblin says: “Publishers are positive their December and January numbers will hit back up after more consumers get their hands on digital devices during the holidays. Call it an early on New Year’s wish.”
